OT-ISAC Welcomes Fortinet to its Alliance Partner Program
The Partnership Supports the Security of Critical Information Infrastructure in the ASEAN Nations
Singapore – 5 August 2021 - Operational Technology Information Sharing and Analysis Center (OT-ISAC) has announced that Fortinet has joined the community as an Alliance Partner to help support security among Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) owners and operators in the region.
“OT-ISAC is pleased to partner with Fortinet and welcomes its expertise as it engages with members and analysts,” said John Lee, OT-ISAC Managing Director. “We are committed to bringing the best technology and professional expertise to the defense of Critical Information Infrastructure in the region.”
OT-ISAC and Fortinet will work together to advance the knowledge and preparedness of operational technology using industries and organizations through training and education, and the exchange of threat intelligence information.
OT-ISAC, a threat information sharing hub for companies working in CII, uses proven tools and technologies to aid member companies as they exchange details of OT and IT threats and attacks on their organizations, to prevent and quickly recover from damage caused by malicious actors.
“We are pleased to join in OT-ISAC’s efforts to help critical infrastructure operators prepare for cybersecurity risks, especially with the expanding attack surface driven by IT and OT convergence. Drawing knowledge from our elite cybersecurity threat intelligence organization, FortiGuard Labs, we aim to share timely threat intelligence and empower critical infrastructure operators to mitigate potential risks,” said Jess Ng, Country Head, Singapore and Brunei, Fortinet.
“Fortinet has experience advancing security across network, mobile and cloud architecture,” added Lee. “The security of industries like energy and maritime requires expertise in increasingly converged environments, so we are fortunate to have Fortinet joining the Alliance Partner Program to offer their insight.”
Actively accepting new members and intelligence or technology partners, OT-ISAC is committed to the security of asset owners and operators in the advancement of resilience in greater Asia Pacific.
